Background
As a world renown tourist destination, there’s a strong demand to rent cars in Hawaii all year round. GoVibe, a Hawaiian car rental startup in Honolulu, aimed to provide a more personalized, luxurious, yet simpler experience compared to its competitors. Luckily, GoVibe entered the market in mid 2021, just as tourism began to pick up following the pandemic.
Challenges
When all countries went into COVID-19 lockdown, GoVibe, a Hawaiian startup in Honolulu, came to NFQ with an idea to launch a car rental service. At the height of the pandemic, Hawaii saw a 74 percent drop in tourism. Working without clarity of when travel restrictions would be lifted was obviously a challenge for both GoVibe and NFQ. This forced us into a position of having to build GoVibe from scratch with zero face-to-face interaction across borders and timezones.

Solution Overview
The global pandemic did not stop NFQ from delivering a successful Startup-as-a-Service solution to GoVibe. Through countless online video meetings, NFQ took GoVibe’s basic idea and built it up entirely from scratch.
We analyzed Hawaii’s car rental market and created a personalized luxury car-rental concept.
We designed GoVibe’s website and app with quick and easy UI/UX.
Using End-to-end Software Development Life Cycle, we developed an admin portal to manage operations and control multiple data streams.
A deal portal was also created, allowing GoVibe to connect renters with car owners.
